Cowboy Wrestling Club

WHAT IS THE COWBOY WRESTLING CLUB?

The Cowboy Wrestling Club is a non-profit organization designed to bring in top athletes and coaches to train in Laramie, Wyoming.  The club will support our athletes in the off-season so that they can continue to excel throughout the year.  With Laramie’s close proximity to the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, we believe we have a unique opportunity to create a training ground competitive with any college program in the country.  The benefits this club will have on our young student-athletes, our program, and the state of Wyoming wrestling cannot be measured.  The sky is the limit on an opportunity like this and we are doing all we can do to get it off the ground.  Our student-athletes and staff are already making an impact.  Fund raising projects that are currently in place involve football game day workers, community service volunteers, the Cowboy Open tournament, and wrestling summer camps.  Every dollar our student-athletes earn will go towards the Cowboy Wrestling Club.  We have asked them to make sacrifices with the mindset that this will benefit them for years to come, and they have responded like champions.  They take on the challenges of these extra duties with a happy heart, but we realize they cannot do it alone.  We have to be careful not to sacrifice their academics or their training.  That is where the support of our proud Cowboy fans factors so heavily.  I do not want to put a limit on what we can accomplish with this concept, but I do realize for it to run properly it will take a group effort and a winning attitude.  We hope you will be part of a very special time in Wyoming Wrestling history.  I have told our student-athletes that we are taking Wyoming Wrestling to a place it’s never been before and I hope that you will be along for the ride!
