2010-11: Garnhart was a key reserve for the Cowboys at 133 and 141 pounds during his sophomore season. He posted a 13-10 overall record and went 2-5 in his dual appearances. He finished with two major decisions and a 5-1 mark against the WWC.
Garnhart opened the season with a third-place showing at the Cowboy Open, but went 3-2 at the Kaufman-Brand Open and Reno Tournament of Champions. He lost two matches at the Virginia Duals, before moving to 141 pounds for the final four matches of the season. He went 2-2 with dual wins over South Dakota State and Northern Colorado.
2009-10: In his redshirt freshman year, Garnhart competed at three different weight classes for the `Pokes; 133, 141 and 149 pounds. When asked to step into the lineup above his natural weight, he competed hard at the higher weights and helped the team succeed, including winning the 2010 WWC Regular Season Dual team title.
Garnhart's overall record was 17-15 and he had two wins by fall. He placed third at the Northwest Wyoming Open and a very respectable fifth at Reno.
2008-09: Garnhart used his redshirt year and was 17-10 wrestling unattached at 133 pounds. He had two pins and two major decisions. His highest tournament finish was third at the Cowboy Open.
High School: Garnhart is a four-time Wyoming state champion. He was also named All-State, All-Conference and was his team's captain for all four years at Riverside High School. Kasey won the Rocky Mountain Nationals High School Tournament and was the 2005 Wyoming Cadet Champion. Garnhart also was a two-time football captain and an All-State football player. He excelled in the classroom by being named to the National Honor Society and the National Honor Roll. Garnhart was a member of the Student Council all four years, treasurer of the FCCLA and the Vice President of FFA.
Personal: Garnhart was born on August 15, 1989, in Casper, Wyo. He is the son of Rick and Janie Garnhart, and has an older sister, Kelsey. He is majoring in social sciences at UW.
